My intentions for this stage setting was to create a simple, geometric set which emits a natural feeling light. I wanted to show a relation between day and night. In order to do this I placed a black reflective background which contrasted with the extremely light shapes that lay in front. The reflected light flows through the spaces between the shapes, which in turn creates a glow of light in front of the dark backdrop. The progression of light that lay reflected on the ground also represents how light differs through out the day. There is never a moment when the light and shadow remain the same. They are forever changing.
